Howard Robinson

Technical Director, SKM Enviros

Howard Robinson is Technical Director for SKM Enviros, an international environmental consultancy. For 30 years he has specialised in the design and scientific management of landfill sites, developing innovative process designs for the treatment of landfill leachates, and working on every continent except Antarctica during the last decade. He has been responsible for the design and commissioning of nearly one hundred leachate treatment plants around the World, many of which are state-of-the-art internationally.

Howard has spent a lot of time working in developing countries in Africa, Asia, and South America during the last 20 years. It is clear to him that for wastes management in such countries, greenhouse gas concerns fall well below more pressing issues related to fundamental protection of public health.
