Samantha Fuller
Analysis & Development Manager, Scottish & Southern Energy
Ms Fuller joined Scottish and Southern Energy three years ago as the analyst to CEO Ian Marchant. She was asked to research waste to fuel opportunities and become the 'chief amateur' within the firm. Since then, SSE's interest in waste to fuels formalised with the purchase of Slough Heat and Power. Ms. Fuller transferred to the newly formed Alterative Energy Team (biomass, waste fuels, biogas, etc.) that has the responsibility for establishing SSE's relationships with the waste companies - for future fuel creation, and developing joint projects with an emphasis on combined heat and power or district heating. As part of the above, Ms. Fuller is the lead manager for SSE's biogas strategy and anaerobic digester development.
Prior to SSE, she worked in the City as a bond analyst covering Emerging Market Corporations - DrKW, and European Utilities - J.P. Morgan. In a previous incarnation, Ms. Fuller roved the Central Asian republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan rolling out privatisation programmes managed by Price Waterhouse.
Ms. Fuller earned her MBA from University of North Carolina and Stockholm School of Economics. She is a graduate of Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota.
